Why Walking Through Addiction?

Walkingthroughaddiction: Addiction is a Family Disease. If you or a loved one has struggled with addiction you know the path of destruction addiction leaves behind. Family members watch as addiction robs their loved one of any morals or values.They stand by helpless as their loved one sinks deeper and deeper into a dark abys. The purpose of this blog is to share information about addiction, and to educate about the dangers of the drugs teenagers today are using. I want people to know, if they have a loved one struggling with addiction, that there is HOPE. There is RECOVERY. There is a way out. For those parents trying to raise young teenagers today, I want to educate and inform them about the dangers of prescription drug use. I want to share the knowledge I have learned through my own college education in an Alcohol and Addiction Studies program and through my own personal experience as I have watched my son struggle with addiction. Our family has found hope and strength through this journey. We have learned that there IS a way out and it is NEVER HOPELESS. We have walked THROUGH this journey of addiction and have found the light on the other side.
